Front and Centre’ - Mouth of the Tyne Festival 2019

Call out for young and diverse artists, producers and promoters to take part in an exciting professional development programme: ‘Front and centre’.

Since 2005, Mouth of the Tyne Festival has taken place every July featuring many styles of live music, street theatre, dance, circus and other performances in a variety of outdoor locations. This year the festival takes place from 11th – 14th July.

For 2019 MOTF and North Tyneside Council are looking for artists, producers and promoters to join a new programme entitled ‘Front and Centre’ that seeks to engage and support talented local people from our communities currently underrepresented in the arts.

‘Front and Centre’ is a free-to-attend opportunity taking place during the festival and involves: a series of meetings led by key cultural leaders and creators from the outdoor arts sector; opportunities to watch live performance work close up; and to be a part of future conversations at MOTF concerning future collaborations and creative projects.

Guest speakers for the meetings include Matt Feerick, Artistic Director of Wet Picnic who are performing “The Apertif” at this year’s MOTF and Angus Mckechnie, Executive Director of Outdoor Arts UK.
