Workshops in Schools
TIN Arts have been delivering in schools since 1999 and have an extensive knowledge of how to deliver high quality, creative programmes for pre, primary and secondary school envionments.
Over the past eleven years TIN Arts have specialised in delivering dance workshops and programmes throughout the region within schools, colleges, youth clubs and community centres. Some of our events include: - Queens Visit, Mini Commonwealth Games, Dance & Literacy, Plug & Play, Shimmy & Shake, Evolve, Elements, and the County Durham Youth Dance Programme.
We have built strong working relationships with key partners such as Dance City, the regional dance agency; Arts Educations Agencies including The Forge and Tees Valley Arts. Government lead initiatives such as Arts are Ours, Creative Partnerships, Cultural Hubs, Fing Your Talent as well as the Department for Education & Skills - Music and Dance Scheme.
These initiatives have lead to building extraordinary links with schools and communities. Teachers feel they have access to their own dance artist who not only visits the school to deliver regular workshops, but also is someone who the teachers can call upon as a resource.
All staff employed by TIN Arts have undergone safeguarding training and regularly attend Health and Safety team meetings and adhere to the TIN Arts Child Protection Policy.
All TIN Arts staff have a current Enhanced CRB, and carry Public Liability Insurance to the value of £5 million.
Employment opportunities with TIN Arts are advertised through the appropriate specialist outlets and all prospective employees are subject to a rigorous selection process to ensure the highest standards across the company.
