A graduate of the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Tess performed and toured with Third Theatre and Sidewinder Dance Company before returning to her native North East in 1999 to set up TIN Arts. As a Co-Director Tess is a major driving force, honing the style and ensuring the quality of the company's work.


Tertia Brigham

After training in Devon Tertia moved to the North East to study dance, graduating from Northumbria University with a BA (Hons) in Dance. Tertia worked as a Freelance Dance Practitioner prior to joining TIN Arts in 2004. Tertia currently manages the Community and Education Programme as well as delivering on all areas across the company.


Heather Downie
Abilities Programme Leader

After graduating from Bretton Hall College with a Honours degree in Dance, Heather worked as a Freelance Practitioner before joining TIN Arts as an assistant to all programmes. Heather now specialises in the Abilities Programme, which she delivers and manages.


Clare Andrews

Clare joined the company in 2005 to develop and lead the Clown Doctors Programme. She is now responsible for all Arts in Health programmes, and also keeps the TIN Arts office running smoothly. Clare is one of the few non-dancer members of TIN Arts' staff, but makes up for this with a MA in Cultural Management and a talent for cooking chocolate brownies.


Brooke Brown-Adams

A graduate of Northumbria University, with a BA (Hons) in Dance Choreography. Brooke teaches and performs a wide variety of dance styles and techniques from Ballet to Ballroom and Hip Hop to Contemporary. After intensive training with Tin Arts, she became a certified Arts Practitioner and has now been working with us since 2007.


Holly Spencer

Holly graduated from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance and has since worked as a freelance performance artist in a variety of companies and projects across the UK. After experiencing life as a Berliner she returned to her Geordie roots joining the team in 2010 as an arts practitioner.


Thomas Gilbert

Thomas graduated from Northumbria University with a MSc in Occupational Psychology and has since taken on the role of company administrator with TIN Arts in 2010. Thomas is involved in supporting the team across a diverse range of business functions.
