About TIN Arts
TIN Arts create, deliver and manage participatory arts and culture programmes throughout the North East of England.
TIN Arts believe that participation in arts and culture can support people's well-being and therefore should be accessible to all. Arts and culture can raise aspiration, create new opportunities and offer routes to learning. Crucially where activity is relevant and purposeful and of the highest quality, it can encourage social change and support community cohesion.
Over the course of the past 10 years we have developed innovative programmes that are an active response to the needs of others such as individuals, groups, commissioners, educational and cultural organisations.
TIN Arts work in all areas of society covering a wide range of artforms with a specialism in creative movement based programming.
Programmes range from individual one-to-one activity through to engaging with whole groups. It can occur in a wide range of settings including educational, community and hospital locations.
With careful planning, an understanding of need and a strong intention, creative participatory arts experiences or interventions can play a major role in affecting individuals to express, transform and progress.
We are keen to also foster creativity in others who lead or support activity to enable more creative programmes to flourish throughout the NorthEast.
